A commercial invoice for international shipping and customs. It itemizes the goods, their value, and shipping, and includes the declaration customs officers look for.
A commercial invoice is the central customs document for an international shipment. Customs authorities use it to classify the goods, verify their declared value, and calculate duties and taxes. Accurate descriptions and values keep a shipment moving; missing or vague ones get it held at the border.
How to use it: Customs uses the declared value to assess duties, so describe each item accurately and honestly. List quantity, unit value, and country of origin — vague descriptions are what get shipments held. Everything except the document is stripped from the printout automatically, so what you see is what prints. To email a copy, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in the print dialog — no software to install.
