An invoice built for freelancers billing by the hour or the project. List your hours or deliverables, set your rate, and it totals the amount due — with an optional tax line.

Freelancers and independent (1099) contractors invoice clients because no employer is cutting them a paycheck — the invoice is how you ask to be paid and document what you earned. State your payment terms (Net 15, Net 30) clearly so both sides agree on when payment is due.

How to use it: Use the quantity column for hours and the rate column for your hourly rate. As a 1099 freelancer, keep every invoice you send — they're the record of your self-employment income at tax time. Everything except the document is stripped from the printout automatically, so what you see is what prints. To email a copy, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in the print dialog — no software to install.

This is a free general-purpose template, not legal, tax, or accounting advice. Your entries stay in your browser and are never uploaded.
